Brecon is an old market town laying a few miles north of the Brecon Beacons and what a nice little town it
is. There are quaint narrow streets, a cathedral, three rivers and a canal and a good shopping centre. It is
ideally situated for exploring the Brecon Beacons area which is what we intended to do. The Beacons are only
a short drive or bus ride away and there are also caves and waterfalls. If you like walking then you will be
able to wear your legs down to the knees around here.
The Tourist Information Centre is a very good one with lots of books and leaflets on display.
