Looking out over Chingford Plain, towards Bury Wood, on the edge of Epping Forest. This view is from the high ground just behind the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge. Whilst walking across Chingford Plain towards Bury Wood we heard two Skylarks - one on each side of us.

This is about a half mile from Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge in one direction and about one and a half miles from High Beach in the opposite direction. There is easy access by road with a car park next to the lake and there are many other free car parks throughout the forest.
