One of the most remarkable features of the building is the unique western front, the central part of which is occupied by this vast arch extending from the ground to the roof.

To really appreciate this arch you should stand at the bottom close to the wall and look up; the effect is amazing.

The spectacular central tower stands 148 feet high. With the exception of Westminster Abbey, Tewkesbury Abbey contains more medieval tombs than any other church in Britain.
