Timeless villages with their sturdy timber-framed houses, uncrowded roads and endless vistas of traditional english farming landscapes. Herefordshire is rural England at it's best with an amazing variety of scenery and unspoilt natural beauty. This is the poet John Masefield's county, he was born in Ledbury, and it is also the county of apple orchards, cider and, of course, Hereford Cathedral known for the Chained Library and the 13th century Mappa Mundi.
