We stayed at this hotel for the duration of our 3 day visit to the Cotswolds in July 2005.
It's a very charming building with rambling passages and lots of oak beams. We had booked a standard
room as we were here for only 3 days but on arrival at reception we were told that we had been
upgraded to a superior room, at no extra charge, which I though was rather nice.
It was a very nice room on the first floor and had a comfortable seating area with a large sofa,
two large and very comfortable armchairs, coffee table and television. There was, of course, an
en-suite bathroom and the room overlooked the courtyard garden at the rear of the hotel. This
courtyard had tables and chairs and one could have one's meals outside in suitable weather.

The hotel is situated next to the little green on the edge of the Market Square - couldn't
be more central - and just outside, on the green, are the old stocks (hotel in background). Perhaps they
put you in those if you don't pay your bill? They have their own small car park at the rear of the hotel
which is accessed via Well Lane off the High Street.
We paid £328.00 for the two of us for our stay of 3 days, in July 2005, which included breakfast
and dinner which we thought was pretty reasonable. The food was good with a reasonable choice of options
on the menu. We would recommend this hotel.
