Crossing the bridge over the moat brings you to these gardens immediately outside the house entrance seen from the upper storey. The
central stone circle and urn is actually a well head.
Note the Victorian mansion on the skyline.

The grounds are fairly extensive and this shows the path which goes all the way round the moat.

This is the Victorian Country House, built in the Elizabethan style, and is not far from the Scotney Castle main entrance. It is open to the
public but we didn't go in on this occasion.

|
This little terrace is at the back of the mansion to the side of the main terrace and gives a rather nice view over the grounds including a little
bit of the old castle.
