The River Wensum.
Walking west along the Riverside Walk after having passed Cow Tower we cross the road over Whitefriars Bridge and continue a few hundred yards to this point just before reaching Quayside.

The Norwich Society was formed originally to oppose the Norwich Corporation's plan, in 1923, to demolish the Medieval Bishop bridge, shown here, at which they were successful. This view is from the Bishopgate side of the bridge.
