Looking slightly west of north the River Teme can be seen far below as it skirts the castle on it's western side.

The farthest point of the castle is the Solar Wing, part of the North Range.

Looking slightly south of west Dinham Bridge can be seen crossing the River Teme. The tower on the extreme left is Mortimer's Tower.

We are looking due north here over the North Range showing the Solar Wing on the left, the Great Hall on the right and on the extreme right is the Garderobe Tower. The broad entrance stairway to the Great Hall can be seen in the right half of the picture.

The high ground in the distance is the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge.
