The gatehouse, Melford Hall, Long Melford.
This is the entrance for pedestrians and cars. It features the same type of turret as on the main house together with a Tudor style arch.

This shows the front of the U-shaped house with the main entrance door. It is interesting to note that the doorway does not feature the typical Tudor arch and so may be a later alteration.

The gardens at Melford Hall are relatively small but quite attractive.

The Entrance Hall is a very grand affair incorporating a large fireplace and the main staircase can be seen at the far end. The Hyde Parkers, one of Britain's distinguished naval families, have lived here since 1786
