There are a number of council run car parks which are all chargeable although relatively inexpensive by today's standards (You can park all day for about £1.50). The council web site points to CarParks4U which gives information on locations and costs. Be aware, however, that there is one mistake on that site - it labels the Oak Lane/New Street car park as long stay but parking is restricted to a maximum of two hours.

There is also free, unrestricted roadside parking in some roads within easy walking distance of the town centre.
