St. James Church, Avebury.
This church dates from around 1000 AD, which makes it Anglo-Saxon, but has been much altered, starting with the Normans, since. The rather interesting font dates from the early 12th Century.

A Thatched Wall, Avebury.
This unusual feature is between the churchyard and Avebury Manor.

Avebury Manor, Avebury.
Just beyond the churchyard is this 16th Century manor house and garden which is open to the public at certain times.

17th Century Thatched Threshing Barn, Avebury.
This barn forms part of the site museum with an exhibition showing the archaeological story of Avebury including finds from the site. There is also a small cafeteria nearby providing drinks and light lunches.
