

The Great Orme Tramway, Llandudno, Caernarfonshire, Wales

Passengers, having changed on to the upper part of the tramway, proceed to the final station at the top. This picture gives a good view of the obsolete trolley poles on the roof.
Here the tramway crosses a level crossing on the road which also goes to the top.

Somewhere along each of the two sections the trams have to pass. This is the passing point for the upper section.
The mast seen on the right of the picture is positioned on the summit.

This is the view, looking east, from the summit of the Great Orme.
The line of poles which form part of the cable car system, not running when we were there, can be seen on the left and to their right the tramway half-way station. A tram can be seen on it's way up.
Llandudno can be seen far below.
