Snowdon Mountain Railway, Caernarfonshire, Wales

×
The Llanberis-Snowdon Railway.
Starting from Llanberis the narrow gauge railway winds its way up to the top of Snowdon with the single coach hauled by a little rack and pinion steam or diesel locomotive. There are 3 intermediate stations one of which can be seen just below the train.

The Llanberis-Snowdon Railway.
The little steam locomotive and its single coach puffing its way to the top - I know the feeling!
Opened in 1884 this mountain railway has now been running for over one hundred years.
