The County of Denbighshire.

The county of Denbighshire is the longest known inhabited part of Wales as Neanderthal remains from 225,000 years ago testify. There are numerous castles, one of the
smallest cities and one of the smallest Anglican cathedrals in Britain.
Denbighshire has moorland, a length of coast to the north and hill ranges to the east, south and west. It is primarily a rural county with little industry. Crops are grown in the valleys and cattle and sheep reared in the uplands.
Part of the county borders England to the east.
