Comment about Avebury Stone Circle, Wiltshire

A little gem! If you haven't been you must visit. To me its better that Stonehenge. Not commercialised and therefore has character. Well worth a visit if visiting the area. Visit Marlborough drive along A4 towards Chippenham and visit, Avebury Stones, Silbury Hill (largest man made hill - nobody know why!) and Longbarrow. All can be found along this road.

I had a wonderful visit to Avebury and thoroughly was smitten with the little village, the huge stones, and the countryside. I found the entire day trip there to be most enjoyable and relaxing. Question is what is the real story with all the huge stones/rocks at Avebury Henge? RCA Dallas, Texas
