Comment about Culbone Church, Porlock Weir, Somerset
I visited this fine church recently and found the location and style went very well together and was quite surprised that it was still very well used and maintained. Being of an enquiring nature, some label it something else, I was interested in the bridge just upsteam from the church very strongly built heavier that man and horse would need indeed strong enough to carry a "railway" Looking at the OS map there is to the East about 2 miles are disused quarries and to the west Porlock weir and dock. Are you aware of any track that was laid for transport? they would have to be short wheel base quarry type truck to negotiate the hair pin bends along the way Any information you have would be most welcome Many thanks Ron Ashton

I'm sorry but I don't know anything about the bridge and I have no knowledge of any track associated with it.
