Comment about the Church of the Holy Innocents, High Beach, Epping Forest, Essex
A beautiful place indeed. We have Water Colours of the area by William Stephen Tomkin, and he includes 2 distant views of what must be the steeple of the church, and entitles 1 of them "Near High Beach" Tomkin lived in Walthamstow in 1901 but we wonder if he lived in your area in the years between 1910/1920. Any information on this Artist, who obviously loved the area, you may have would be gratefully received. Kind regards Ken Cramer

Lovely church

My husband and I visited this week, and were a little disappointed that we couldn't gain access inside, although the churchyard is a beautiful peaceful place to visit. I was told by a lovely lady who married here in 1946, that they still do teas on Sunday afternoons in the summer, so would like to get back at some time. Perhaps there are photos of the interior somewhere?
