This thatched cottage is called 'Sergeant Bendlows Cottage'(not sure I have spelt it right). I lived there in the 70's with my mum and dad and my Grandma lived in the annex for a while until she bought another cottage in Great Bardfield called 'River View'. I went to the Primary School at the end of the Road which had a little outdoor swimming pool at the time which we could use in the summer holidays too ( great for the 70's heat waves)
