Comment about Ye Olde Fighting Cocks Inn, St. Albans, Hertfordshire
Noted within the pages of oldest Inns in Britain. 1189 AD was the year Ye Old Trip To Jerusalem has been dated yet Ye Old Fighting Cocks Inn dates from 1600 but still claims oldest. Please clarify

The clue lies in the text by the picture. The building is indeed a very old medieval building but in 1600 it was dismantled and moved to its current position.
