Comment about Bradford Lane, Youlgreave, Derbyshire

Although not living in Youlgreave for a great many years I last visited my brothers, who still live there, in 1999. However I was born there and from 1939 to the early 60s we lived in the council houses in Mawstone Lane and attended the village school until 1945 when I went to the Grammar school. However at that time, and until my last visit, the road illustrated was known simply as Bradford and did not become Mawstone Lane until after the river. In fact my brother lives at number two Mawstone Lane which is a long way from the church. I hope to be back next year because it is a part of the world that keeps attracting me back.

This is the view from the top of Bradford lane. Mawstone is much further down the lane by the river.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't know how I managed that one but I have now corrected it.
