Cressing Temple Barns.
The Walled Garden is actually comprised of several gardens, each with a theme using plants grown in the late Medieval and Tudor period. This view shows the roof of 'Wheat Barn' in the background.

Cressing Temple Barns.
This shows the Pool Garden looking towards the Fount and Star Pool. This garden shows a range of plants with particular household uses including washing, pot pourri and insect repellents. The central plant in each border is a Gallica rose which has particularly fragrant dried petals and was important for pot pourri.
