There are a number of greenhouses set together in a group ranging from temperate to tropical which is just inside the main entrance.
Just outside the greenhouses are the formal herbaceous borders with an amazing variety of colours.

This is the Temperate House which is the largest of the greenhouses. Some of the plants here include Abelia floribunda, Brugmansia sanguinea var. flava (also known as Angel's Trumpet), Clivia miniata, Hymenosporum flavum, Sparmannia africana and Ugni molinae.
Amanda is also doing some of her neck stretching exercises in order to see what is up near the roof.

This is the Cactus House with an impressive variety of cactuses ('Cacti', although a popular colloqial term, is grammatically incorrect).
Some of the varieties that you can see are Aloe vera, Crassula ovata (commonly known as the Money Tree, Jade Plant, Friendship Tree or Chinese Rubber Tree), Echinocactus grusonii, Mammillaria bombycina and Stapelia grandiflora.

In the more informal areas there are plenty of winding paths (we have to see what's around the next corner) and plenty of colour.
