Limeslade Bay is a small bay to the south-west of Mumbles Head which virtually disappears at high tide. We were lucky to arrive when the tide was out and so had plenty of foreshore to explore. Most of it is rock with a small amount of sand.

A view of the coast from Tutt which is a small hill between Bracelet Bay and Limeslade Bay. Mumbles is at the start of the Gower Peninsula and a lot of the Gower coast looks like this with numerous bays.

We saw this interesting Haematite (iron ore) in Limeslade Bay and it wasn't difficult to find. There used to be an iron ore mine here which goes back to at least Roman times but has now been closed and sealed.
