Tombs and Medieval Floor Tiles, Winchester Cathedral, Winchester, Hampshire, England, Great Britain
Winchester Cathedral, Winchester.

Tombs and Medieval floor tiles.

This is the largest area of Medieval tiles, dating from 1240-1300, in Britain.

The undulations in this area of floor gives some idea of how much movement there has been in the foundations. You can't see it in the picture but you will certainly notice it when you walk across the floor.
