Parking in Winchester, Hampshire.

First the good news - there are plenty of car parks in Winchester (around 20)! The bad news? Car parking charges are generally excessive except for the Park & Ride car parks which are about one mile South-East of the city centre.

There is a free bus service, from the Park & Ride Car Parks, into the city centre, and back again of course, and buses run about every 10-15 minutes on a circular route. You pay a single fee for the car and all passengers travel on the Park & Ride buses free. You can also hop on and off these buses any number of times as they travel round the city without paying any extra.
