Nearly at the top of the keep. The walkway on the top of the walls can be seen above together with one of the corner towers. The tops of these towers are 125 feet above ground level.

At the top of the keep at last. The metal railing on the left is level with the inside surface of the walls and prevents you from falling into the open space of the ruined keep.

The views from the top are pretty impressive as this view to the north over the River Medway shows. The bridge in the picture is the last bridge on the river before it flows into the Thames Estuary.

This view from the top of the Keep is towards the south-west. The River Medway, flows for 70 miles from the High Weald in Sussex, through Kent to the point where it enters the Thames Estuary.
