The County of Leicestershire

Leicestershire is the essence of the English rural scene. It includes Charnwood Forest with its rolling landscapes made up of a patchwork of fields and leafy lanes together with some of the oldest rocks to be found in this country.
It is also the home of the Great Central Railway, Britain's only double track steam heritage line, which runs regular trips between Loughborough and Leicester at weekends and throughout the summer.
