Lincoln Cathedral, Lincolnshire.
The Nave is nothing less than breath-taking and shows the scale and spaciousness of this 13th century giant. York Minster may be larger but its nave does not have the interest and grandeur of Lincoln. The Nave is 215 ft. long and 80 feet wide including the aisles. The total length of the interior of the cathedral is 481 feet.

The Quire or Pulpitum Screen was added in the 14th century but, in its original form, it would have been brightly painted and hints of that early paintwork can still be seen if examined carefully.
