Roman coins which have been conserved and classified within the context of the relevant emperors. This was probably a time of considerable political and economic unrest and the coins may have been buried for safekeeping with the intention of returning for them in the future.

Typical utensils and equipment used in a Victorian kitchen including a rather fine cast iron range at the back.
The large copper vessel is a Dutch Oven and Bottle Jack. The Dutch Oven was placed in front of a fire and cooked the roast inside more quickly.
