The Medieval Town Wall, Norwich, Norfolk, England

×
Norwich, Norfolk.
The Medieval City Wall, as in a lot of other Norfolk structures, was built in flint and completed in the early 14th century. It was maintained in good order until the late 18th century, when the gateways were demolished. This section of wall is at the bottom of Carrow Hill.
There are two towers remaining on Carrow Hill together with a good length of wall.

Norwich, Norfolk.
This section of the medieval wall is near the western end of St. Benedict Street.
Unfortunately by the late eighteenth century development of the city started to move outside the old walls leading to some of the gates being demolished.
