Caer Caradoc

Caer Caradoc seen from the Chapel Lawn Community Centre Car Park.
There is a car park by the Chapel Lawn Community Centre and they welcome visitors to use it as a starting point for walks. The walk is easy going until the last short stretch when it does get steep but it is only on grass so not difficult.

The village of Chapel Lawn seen on the walk up Caer Caradoc. The church is obvious and the car park is immediately to the left of the church.

The scale of this hill fort can be seen here. The photograph has been taken from the top of a bank showing Amanda at the bottom of the adjoining ditch.

Caer Caradoc Hill Fort.
The West entrance is the more impressive of the two entrances. The ditch can be seen running from the bottom left corner diagonally towards the top right and disappearing behind a bank. The path through the fort runs from the left towards the right where it enters the fort's interior.
