Stokesay Castle (2), Craven Arms, Shropshire

Medieval Stairway, Stokesay Castle, Shropshire.
This is the typical medieval stairway which gives access to the roof of the South Tower. As medieval stairways go this is well lit and not excessively steep and even the treads have a reasonable amount of room front to back.
