Museum of Iron (2), Coalbrookdale, Ironbridge, Shropshire, England

I've heard of some strange things but how about some cast iron household furniture? This shows some chairs and a table, which I imagine would take a very strong person to move about, together with a fireplace which means that you'd need very strong floors. I assume that thing on the partition is a bird cage.

With cast iron street furniture it doesn't matter so much about the weight and that is a rather nice Victorian Post Box.
I can identify the black water pump but I've no idea what the tapering green thing on the right is unless it's just a bollard.

There is some quite intricate work in these cast iron garden chairs and they would be rather heavy.

This is a very large whaling pot in which whalers would render down the whale blubber from their catch and thus release the valuable oil it contained.
Notice the flattened side which is repeated on the opposite side. This allows the pots to be stood close together.
