Melford Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk, England
The Gatehouse is the entrance for pedestrians and cars. It features the same type of turret as on the main house together with a Tudor style arch.
This shows the front of the U-shaped house with the main entrance door. It is interesting to note that the doorway does not feature the typical Tudor arch and so may be a later alteration.
The gardens at Melford Hall are relatively small but quite attractive.
The Entrance Hall is a very grand affair incorporating a large fireplace and the main staircase can be seen at the far end.
The Hyde Parkers, one of Britain's distinguished naval families, have lived here since 1786
