View from St. Mary's Church Tower, Rye.
This view is to the South-West along the River Brede showing the Rye Harbour Road crossing the river over the lock. The little white specs all over the grass on the left are grazing sheep. On the end of the tree covered ridge at top right is Winchelsea and you can probably see some of the houses in the larger view.

This view is to the North and the rather grand building in the centre is the railway station. There is a train waiting in the station which can just be seen to the left-hand side of the building.

View from St. Mary's Church Tower, Rye.
This view is to the North-East showing the River Rother just beyond the rooftops on the right-hand edge and again in the distance on the left near the top after it has followed the tree line round. The corner of the road in view below is where Market Street bends round into East Street.
