Figsbury Ring, Salisbury, Wiltshire
Figsbury Ring showing the entrance through the outer ring, on the left, and the entrance to the inner ring across the ditch on the right. The figure between the two shows the scale.
The view from Figsbury Ring looking south-west. You may be able to make out the dark vertical shape of the spire of Salisbury Cathedral near the centre of the picture and just below the horizon - better seen in the larger view.
The Adonis Blue butterfly is not a common sight but there is known to be a colony of them here on Figsbury Ring and we were lucky enough to see one.
