Parking Information for Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire Moors, England
When parking in Robin Hood's Bay you have two choices.
1. Parking in the Robin Hood's Bay car park - Chargeable.
Car Parking charges apply from 9.00am until 6.00pm from 1st March until the 31st October and Scarborough District Council, in whose area Robin Hood's Bay lies, provide details of parking charges (Look for 'Bank Top Car Park - Robin Hoods Bay'). You will then have to walk down the hill into Robin Hood's Bay.
Parking in the Scarborough District is, without doubt, expensive and the charges for Robin Hood's Bay are seasonal which means the council is hoping to relieve visitors of as much money as they can and the charges certainly reflect that.
2. Parking in the Boggle Hole car park - Free.
One mile south of Robin Hood's Bay is Boggle Hole where there are plenty of free parking spaces to the side of the road. If you can't see them then you haven't got there yet! You can then walk the short distance along the cliff top, with wonderful views, to Robin Hood's bay village.
The road into Boggle Hole that you want is the one shown on the location map (link above), coming from the south-west, which has the 'P' next to it near Boggle Hole at the bottom of the map.
Information and charges based on our visit in July 2007.
