The Market Place, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Great Britain
Whitby.

The old cobbled Market Place can be traced back as far as 1640 although the imposing town hall wasn't built until 1788.

The street at the back is Church Street and just behind the camera is Sandgate.

This little street runs from Church Street down the side of the Town Hall into the Market Place. Note the jettied construction of the building on the right.
