There are normally seven sailing barges based at Maldon. However, although 'Reminder' in this picture is one of the resident barges, 'Ethel Ada' is actually a visting barge.

Reminder was built in 1929, is 85 feet long with a 20 foot beam and normally carries 12 passengers on mostly weekend trips. All trips must be booked in advance.

'Hydrogen' was built in 1906, is 96 feet long with a 25 foot beam and will carry up to 50 passengers on, mostly, day trips.

This is the largest wooden barge still sailing.
