'Old Court' in Bradford Street is now used as a guesthouse. The frame of the building dates from the 17th century but the cartway, on the right-hand side of the building, features work from the 16th century.

Braintree, Essex.

This little green cottage, in Bradford Street, is relatively recent but the timbers on the end wall are all that remain of the now demolished Swan Inn. Note the front and rear jettied construction of the frame.
