Hampstead Heath (3), London, England
There are numerous types of open space on Hampstead Heath and this might be described as natural or 'wild' in the sense that the grass is not cut and there are plentiful wild flowers.
There are plenty of paths both in the woodland areas and on the open ground sometimes with bench seats nearby.
There are a number of ponds on Hampstead Heath and this is known as the Viaduct Pond for obvious reasons. It is in that part of Hampstead Heath known as the Vale of Health. The viaduct carries a path across the pond and provides attractive views on both sides.
There is a row of ponds on the north-eastern edge of Hampstead Heath, known as Highgate Ponds, of which this is one. These are not far from Parliament Hill and the Kenwood Estate is just north-west of here.
