Around Wells-next-the-Sea (3), Norfolk, England

This view, from the top of the causeway looking back to the harbour, shows the L-shape of the channel coming in from the sea on the left and curving round to the left to go along the front of the Quay.

There were a number of wild flowers growing along the causeway and this shows two of them; the blue one being Vipers Bugloss (Echium vulgarare) and the pink one is Common Mallow (Malvas sylvestris).

This is the Wells Harbour Railway, the little narrow gauge railway that runs from the Quay to near the end of the causeway. It will save you a walk if you don't mind paying the fare.

The area of sand on the coast when the tide is out is vast and although the beach is very popular there is plenty of room for everybody.

There are a number of people on the beach in this picture - if you can find them. There is more than enough sand here especially if you are prepared to walk a little way.
