On the way back to Whitesands we stop to admire a large area of Bell Heather with Cairn Lidi on the horizon.

Returning from St. David's Head to Whitesands we stopped briefly for a light lunch and continued eastward to Porthstinian with a last look at Whitesands beach with St. David's Head in the distance.

Finally we arrive at Porthstinian with it's unmistakable lifeboat station. We had about 20 minutes to wait for the bus and it was very hot in the sun but, as with most of this coast, there is no shade or shelter here unless you are prepared to descend the multitude of steps to the lifeboat station. We were tired and didn't want to do that so were very glad when the bus did arrive to whisk us off to St. David's after another really enjoyable walk.
