You will soon reach the impressive 'Pillar' with the 'Abyss' behind it. The Abyss is only 9 feet deep but when it was named by the original Victorian explorers they had only candles to light their way and would not have been able to see the bottom.

The small blue-grey formation hanging from the roof on the left, just above centre, is known as the "Witch's Fingers".
