Sandwich (3), Kent

St. Peter's Street showing the entrance to Holy Ghost Alley on the right. The brick and timber house and the white one next to it are both 15th century. They are both actually jettied construction although the brick facing has been added so that although the jettied construction is still there it is now hidden.
St. Peter's Street runs down to Three Kings Yard then changes to Love Lane which emerges in Strand Street. Further along this street is Seven Post Alley which leads into High Street.

What else can you do when you've run out of street names?. Well I suppose that, as here, you'd call it No Name Street.

There are some strange road names in Sandwich and this is one of them - The Chain. This street is a continuation of High Street and where it bends sharp right it changes to Galliard Street.

Having already seen Church Street St. Mary's this is the other church street - Church Street St. Clement's seen from St. Clement's Churchyard. Church Street St. Clement's runs down to join the Chain.
