Dressed to impress
Mr. Pheasant pops in and out of our garden which, I am certain, is part of ‘his’ territory. I hope he doesn’t mind us living there. He was back in our garden today and this time he came up right near the house so I managed to get a good picture. He is certainly dressed to impress.

What a magnificent bird! Can understand why in the ‘olden days’ a bird would be dressed back in its skin before being served at a banquet. Impressive!
Do you leave seed out for him?

No we don’t leave any food out for him. He looks pretty well fed to me!
Looking at it from a different point of view – perhaps he’d make a good meal for us! He’s too big for the local cats they won’t go near him.

Oh gosh…please don’t eat him!! He’s just too darn cute…although he would decorate a platter in the middle of a holiday table in grand style :)
